I have an old speed which onto the lens board I have mounted a 6 inch red dot Atar. Using a 6x7 Singer back with the focal plane shutter. I got to say, I love shooting with this set up. Not convenient, but pretty pics.

Last Spring I bought a Century Graphic and I really love using it. Since I only I have a 105 Xenar f4.5 I’ve had to be creative with lenses. I made my own lens boards and mounted a 90mm Schneider-Angulon from my 4x5 Speed Graphic and focus with the ground glass. On such a small film format, the wider 15mm view I get really helps. I also use an old Bauch and Lomb Rapid Rectilinear 170mm (162mm?) lens from my Kodak 3A folding camera. I focus by using the ground glass and a homemade distance scale, so I can shoot hand held pretty well. Since the lens easily covers the 6x7 and 6x9 size of film backs I have, there is no problem with movements. It’s a very good lens and shutter (still after 100 years) and the pictures are great.

I have a nice Vivitar 273 Auto Thyristor flash I use with the camera and I put a nice wide strap on the camera and it’s very comfortable around my neck for long periods of time. In November I was at the Rememberance Day ceremony in Toronto and shoot about 6 rolls with the camera (colour and B&W). That day I mostly used the Xenar lens and the pictures were amazing. I have found the Century to be a very easy camera to use and I really love using it.

Take care,
