Oh yeah? Has there been a merger? I think not.

There is no requirement to pass an intelligence test before posting items for sale on eBay.

This lens exists and is a very fine lens. I have had one for years.

Like every other WA enlarging lens I have, best used on a diffusion enlarger. Can not explain why, just believe me

If you have it, it sure is a collectors item, for the shelf not for the darkroom.

Have another look...

o.k. its voodoo........ today you might get the "look" of Schneider, but maybe not, you might get the "look" of Rodenstock. if a lens could do that, . . . . thats pretty cool, OR both "looks" at the same time. Something, something , WOW

but seriously, I am sure at some point in the past rodenstock and Schneider must have collaborated on something? huh??? I am only guessing though. Maybe its after market fake stuff, like those fake leicas that came out awhile back?????? I don't know. . . .. . .

"Like every other WA enlarging lens I have, best used on a diffusion enlarger" Maybe, but my 60 mm WA Componon works fine on my condenser Omega B8, with the supplementary condenser intended for a 75 mm lens. It allows me to make 16 X 20 prints on the baseboard–even 20 X 24s, if I had room for the trays in my tiny darkroom. BTW, my enlarger was advertised as a Beseler B8 on NY Craigslist. Another merger?

ya, o/k/ if you would see the photo of said enlarger lens, you will see Schneider, However he describes as Radagon . . . . That's Rodenstock. so this has all been tongue and cheek!!!!!!!!!! It's obvious the poor chap who wrote the item listing confused "himself". . . . .. showed one brand, while describing another. So we were all amused at the thought of the "silent" merger. it's the merger that took place yet no one be heard of it!!!! ( its tongue and cheek)????

BTW, I just looked up this lens on the B&H website where the price is just slightly more than HALF what this eBay dealer is asking. CAVIAT EMPTOR!

My mistake–the B&H price is for the Rodenstock rather than the Schneider. As an aside, I can't imagine why ANYONE would buy a new enlarging lens these days when they go for 1/10th the price used. I paid $60 for my WA Componon a couple of years ago.
