Hi boys and girls,
Well, I finally managed to remove the soldered pieces of my poor 5x7 2-D (see (there was a url link here which no longer exists) for that story), and I even managed to buy an extension rail for it.
I was so excited when I saw the Buy It Now listing for the extension rail, that I neglected to do the necessary research to make sure it would fit my camera. However, the seller posted a link to a picture of a 7x17 2-D, and it was pretty clear that the male connector on his extension rail would fit with the female receptacle on the back of the pictured camera body.
As luck would have it, the back of my camera doesn't match the one in the picture. My 2-D has three round holes on the back, not the single "keyhole" type connector shown in the picture of the 7x17 2-D.
Those of you who have a 2-D, does the back of your camera looks like mine, or do you have the keyhole connector that matches the extension rail?
TIA!
Steve
