Roy brought an expensive pair of shoes.

His cat found the shoes and chewed on them.

Roy was beside himself with anger. The cat saw that it was time to move on and ran away.

Weeks later while Roy was talking to friends, one of his friends saw the cat behind a bush and said, "Pardon me, Roy is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?"

Well, see, there's there's this guy named Roy, and he has this cat, and this cat tore up his footwear, and Roy got mad, and the cat ran away, and then this other guy came along and saw the cat outside, and asked him about it.

70 years ago??? Where o where did I leave my thyme machine.

Here it is-

A> Simon and Garfunkel put out an album called "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.
B> A group covered a song off that album, which became their biggest hit.
C> That group also did well with another popular song they covered, and that is the relevance.

This is a dilly. Now is not the thyme to spice things up. And dont be misleading.

Thus spake the sage.

But if I'd wanted to mislead him I would have said it was a song by Rosemary Clooney.
Or Elvis Parsley.

Yeah, but that was in 2001.

Actually, it was quite a bit earlier. In fact, some parts of that saga predate the Bible. It is still considered holy writ by Zoroastrians and is still alive and well. That was a "God like reference" then on my part. Reference mind you, not a God like statement by me.
