..soon, with my school.

We're going to be there from tuesday 25marts to sunday 30 marts.

Anybody doen there? wanna meet?

it's my 20'th or so trip to Prague, and I am still excited about it!...

Have fun. I've nearly got to Prague several times, when I visit head office in Vienna, but I never seem to have enough time.

Don't forget to say my name while you're there -- I really need some good shooting mojo right now, and last time it did the trick

have fun, take a million pictures, bow to the spirit of Sudek --

A fantastic city filled with unbelievably beautiful scenery!

Keep an eye out for my jacket that I lost last October after a "few" beers!

well - very early tursday morning I'll leave for my favourite city...

this time I will do two things (when time permits, as I have students to take care of):

I'll proberly take a small LF camera with a Verito lens with me, and then look out some of the places J Sudek used to photograph.. that will be fun.

And then I'll go to "Skoda Photo2, the largest photo shop in Prague. Last time I was there, they had the largest Voigtlaender Euryscop I have ever seen for sale.....
I can't find any information on it - but I remember it to be a nr 8 which is huge, and made of some sort of aluminium metal stuff - not brass...

I didn't buy it then (as it cost about 1200$), but told my self that if it is still there.... then it must be a sign from above..

lets see.

any of you know about this huge lens? I can't find it mentioned in the Vademecum or else where..

Anyway: a little bit of jealousi from you guys is welcomed..:D

I'm not jealuos at all, really I'm not. Ahh bummer, wich I could go I'd like to see that photo store. I was in Praque in spring -99 with my Lab-class. Lots of tourist and not much time on our own so I didn't see much apart from the obvious stuff.
Have a nice trip. fingers crossed for that lens
Kind regards

Remember to by some foma-emulsion.... And if you could find some silver-nitrate that would be fine....
And take a liter of Plzen beer on my account....I pay you later in april....
have a nice trip and may you have all the money you need to by some new/old lenses... big heavy ones.....
I went to Praha the first time when you were 11 years old.....and have been there many times since.....

Where is that located?
I'm about to be in Prague by the end of January for couple of days.

it is right in the center of town. the main street is called Venceslas square, and the street that crosses (where the trams drive), is called Vodickova. Here are two of the great shops located.
see attachment: The "big" red dot, is PhotoSkoda, which is the largest, and the small dot, is where Foto Optika is located - mostly with analouge old stuff...

Have a nice trip - fascinating city!
