I'm just stating the facts. I spent a lot of money on a 'refurbished' 504 from Odyssey. The condition wasn't great, but I accepted it. I found that one corner of the film carrier was damaged(chipped), causing the screw to come loose immediately, making it difficult to align the top and bottom sections. I requested John to replace it for me, and below is the response I received. His attitude was very good before payment, and he assured me that it was in excellent condition and gave a 1-year parts warranty
They didn't refurbish it strictly speaking; the lens stage rotates with a squeaky sound, and all the nylon wheels are from 45 years ago. two of the wheels located at the top of the column have many dents, although I'm not sure how that happened.
