I'm pretty disapointed to say the box of 59 I bought for this exchange is firing blanks, dried up and useless. I'm not sure what to do, I did want to do emulsion lifts for the exchange. I'm really sorry.

Finally...

Getting there. I have finally found the inspiration for this "Ode to Polaroid". I need to find a few good locations, but I'm finally getting there! Feels good... I will really make it an "Ode to Polaroid". Just wait and see... :surprised:

Finally!
I sent my domestic print yesterday to David Goldfarb (my work has a postage machine). I have prints packaged and ready to mail to the three international people in my group but I'm just trying to make time to get to the post office. I go to work before the PO opens and get home after it closes. I left them home with my dear wife today...we're at her mercy

As a little bonus I threw in a couple of stickers from the latest batch that got printed.

I received 2 Polaroids from Jacco yesterday - I really enjoyed them, especially the "ode". I don't want to give it away for those who have not received theirs yet... Thanks Jacco!

You're welcome! And, what a coincidence: you received mine yesterday, I received yours yesterday. I like it a lot. Nice composition. Thanks for reminding me not to tell too much, I'll just say this... I have a sudden appetite for an apple . Dianna, thanks!

It's in the mail

My polaroid prints are now in the mail and heading over the ocean to my exotic group members. Tim Walls, Sino and Pete Haris please let me know if you don't get your prints in the expected timeframe.

Mine are going out today!

Did anyone scan their images? It would be great to have a gallery of all of the images.

Apart from the ones I sent out to my group about 2 weeks ago, I've kept a few extra Polaroids for myself. Scanning and putting it somewhere in the gallery was something I had in mind as well, but only after most people have received 'the real thing'.

I know dianna received my Ode to Polaroid; gr82bart, JLMoore3rd, rkmiec and (outside category) David: I guess you should have received something from me by now. Please let me know if you have/haven't. Thanks.

I've been out of town and won't be back until the 7th, so I'll report back if there are Polaroids in my mailbox when I get home.

I finally got mine taken (and scanned since I forgot to take an extra for myself). They are 4x5s on Type 52 film. May not get them mailed until next Monday.

Arrived today, Alex, and I've also received some nice Polaroids from JL Moore, kraker, and menacing tourist.

Things have been a little busy since getting back to the city, but I've got a still life in the planning stage. With Type 809 having reached truly absurd prices online, I don't want to waste any!

I hear you David. I blew three sheets of mine trying to do a transfer on paper that wouldn't take it. OUCH!! Being quite sparing with it from now on.

I wanted to do some cityscapes, but if I can't process them on the spot, it's just too risky. I've used 809 mainly in the studio, and when I went outside I discovered the holders were prone to light leaks in the full light of day. I was going out with three loaded holders and getting one or two keepers, and if I could have processed them in the field, I would have tweaked the color a bit more even on the "good" ones.

CRAP! Holy deadbeat of an organizer ... ahem ... I um ... well ... I forgot, what can I say? Please forgive me, I will make Polaroids 'till I get 'roids. Those of you that sent images to my Canadian address, my parents love them and I haven't seen them yet. But thanks. I am certain they are all wonderful.

I will go through all the posts and provide an update on all the goingsons (is there such a word?).

Regards, Art.

I've not sent mine or received any yet. Will get mine posted soonest. Can't decide if to redo them or not. I've done Pt/Pd prints of a T55 neg. Are group 1 happy with that. Options are POP print of same neg or proper T55 print?

An update to the update for Group 5: I've also received a Polaroid from dianna, so I think it is safe to assume she has also sent hers.

I sure hope this Ode gets going again.
