Odd marks on Carbon print edge

From Time to time I see a light grey edge along the perimeter of my carbon prints. very random and its only alsong a small portion of the print.

Does anyone have an idea as to why this happens?

I posted an example on Facebook in the Carbon groups.

Most of the times I have the same light grey edge. I remove it carefully with a foam brush.
