The story of Frank's children is "horrible"..... sad.
Lots of parents lose a kid to accidents, as in the case of his daughter.
But most patents do not know of the 24/7-365 Nightmare that is Schizophrenia.
Not trying to detract from Robert Frank, but my son (and also my poor ex-wife, his Mother) is schizo as well.
I wail never, ever, be able to atone for that mistake.

Anyway..... Robert, and both wives, seemed like decent people. I hope they had a reasonably happy life.
I have enjoyed his photos for may years.
There is a nice video or two about Robert Frank on Youtube. I certainly did not know him, but from those videos, i got the feeling he was a Decent and somewhat easy going man.
R.I.P.

Reading this article by Danny Lyon again, having just viewed a couple of Danny L;yon's videos (Vimeo).

The videos are things in themselves, not photographs particularly but they are consistent with his photographic work. I continue to be moved by Danny's life in photography.

"... rebelled against Life-magazine-style photographs, and instead immersed himself in the lives of his subjects" re. Danny Lyon.
