NYC - Governors Island - Take 2

I ran into a couple of fellow LF APUG members on Governors Island last weekend and it seems we might be able to pull together a meetup and shoot type event for the weekend of August 9-10. I'll be on the island both days regardless but have certain commitments involving a DSLR during parts of the day. There's a major event hosted by the National Park Service - a Civil War Living History weekend with an encampment and weapons demos (and, I believe, an artillery piece). I've been to this event the last two years and it's a lot of fun (if you like that sort of thing). There's also the usual historic distric architecture and great NYC views.

There's also a Revolutionary War weekendon August 2-3, which I will not be attending but you might find interesting.
