Camera lens is perfect, I dont get that high frequency detail from my point and shoot Leica , only summer , portra and our lab sends to whomever have a correct and freshly mixed c41.
I think your camera lightmeter is off may be 2 or 3 stops down. Play with ASA dial and check with other camera. May be there is something in shutter. New Chinon camera would cost you 15 dollars or so. May be you did not match with correct developer temperature and developer mix.
Check everything , your images beatiful , tmax , hc 110 is the best. You cant beat them with anything.
