Hi all,

Yes, I know, all of Norway is worth taking photos of. But if anyone could give me a hint on what I absolutely mustn't miss in these regions, I'd be most grateful.
We have almost three weeks in Norway, starting in Oslo, then spending a few days following Trollstigen, and finally spending one week each between Jotunheimen and Rondane and a small place a little west of Kristiansand. And I'm totally looking forward to that.

Thanks in advance,

Antje

Beautiful locations Antje. I can't help with details as it has been some years since I visited Norway. However, I was once in a snowstorm in the Jotunheimen in July! So take you warm clothes.

I'm sure Ole will turn up soon.

I'm sure Ole will turn up soon.

I'm here, but I don't really have any good advice on this. My favorite place is "just about anywhere along the west coast" - which Jotunheimen and Rondane are not.
Trollstigen is worth a visit, and lots of film.

Thanks you two! I couldn't convince my husband that we need to go to the coast - he has already been there as a kid (almost every summer), so that was out of the question, sadly.
However, I really want to go for a short trip sometime later this year on my own, just my cameras and I. Ole, I'd be thankful if you could recommend a good place to start. I'm hoping to get a week off in September... Do you think flying in to Bergen would be best? Or maybe starting in Trondheim? I guess September is pretty late, or is it?

Cheers,

Antje

September is a GREAT time to visit the coast, but be prepared for rain (not only in September, you should always be prepared for rain on the coast).

Fly to Bergen, then make your way to Sogn by boat, bus or train - or all three.

Dead Link Removed was shot in Nordfjord in late September; Sogn is not much less spectacular.

Having been in Norway last year, I can say that Jostedalsbreen and Jotunheimen national parks are beautiful, as is Bergen.
