Hi!

I recently bought a norita66 and LOVE the 80mm 2.0, the bokeh is just incredible!

now I'm desperately looking for a metered prism for that camera, but can't seem to find one..

does anyone have one for sale or knows where to get one?

I wrote KEH.com since they have one in their ads but it does not say if metered or not!

thanks for any hints!

If you get fed up with no metered prism, I'm in the market for a Norita 66.
Also, that bokeh is absolutely beautiful, thus deepening my lust for a 80/2.

I too have just got into the Norita System and feel it is very well bulit system! I shoot with a Bronica S2A and Pentacon Six which are both excellent systems also but love the feel and robustness of the Norita Body. I would just buy a good Pro hand held meter and don't bother with the old Norita Meter. From what I have seen it is very heavy and not near as accurated as a current meter. I just recently got a Kenko light meter. Kenko bought out the Minolta Meter rights, my meter is identical to the old Minolta VF and it is very accurate. I used a Minolta Autometer 3F for 20 years until recently when it had a electrical problem. The nice thing about the Kenko meter is it runs off 1 AA battery, not a expensive odd ball battery. I know what you mean about finding accessories for the Norita, they don't seem to come up for sale very often on Ebay. I recently got a small extension tube that I am going to try to mate it with a Pentacon six tube so I can mount all my ziess glass on the Norita body. It wont have automatic stop down function but that 180 Sonnar has amazing Bokeh as well at f2.8. I would like to hear from more Norita users if there are some here at APUG.

Xax,

Thought I would post a few Norita pictures in the Technical gallery. I thought maybe we might get some interest in this wonderful over looked camera. Heres one of my Noritar 80mm f2.0 shots.

I have two Norita 66 bodies and a pile of lenses (I don't have a 240 or 400, but I would looooove to) and I am always searching Ebay and so on looking for bits for them. They're very rare anyway I haven't seen a metered prism show up anywhere in a LONG time. In fact, I bid on a waist-level finder a month or so ago and was completely gobsmacked when it sold for USD $225!

I use my waist-level finder more than even the standard prism because it's amazing for street photography and I have a couple of excellent hand-held meters that do me just fine -- a Weston and a GE, neither of which is battery powered and both of which, in spite of being really old, are really accurate even in low light.

I think they should be renamed Private Conversations.

Of course, that would mean we would start throwing around "PC", which would drive some APUG members crazy!
