I have an 8000 that works for a short time until it heats up and then looses connection. likely the common firewire board issue. what's your budget?

Thanks for the reply dangobot. I think I just got burned on a scam on a broken coolscan from this ad, so at this point I am going to have to lick my wounds for a bit before putting more money into this.

always check the nikon coolscan facebook group. message Frank, he's the one that's always buying a fixing up coolscans. if he has one, in any state of repair (he lists a few every month) he will help you.i also saw someone on fredmiranda selling an 8000 lens with E-mount conversion if that's what your after, for a few hundred dollars.
