Yes, great in rainstorms too. I've used mine while white water rafting, parasailing above water, and the beach, in surf, in the pool, dirty places, etc. It's a wonderful 35mm sharp lens and the whole camera is so protected but heavy. Makes a good paperweight in the wind too.Just got back from using my Nikonos in a snow storm; the perfect camera for those conditions. It was pretty wet when I got back home. I was not that keen on getting my brand new F6 wet.

I remember that there was at least one strap manufacturer that offered different "lugs" you can buy separately.
Now if I could just find that for sale.
You might try “narcosis101” on eBay. I haven’t bought anything from him yet, but he specializes in Nikonos stuff.
