Nikon SB28: Turned off standby mode but still goes into it?

Just the other day I started encountering this problem. I have "standby" mode turned off on my flash but it still goes into standby after about 30 seconds. Is my flash going old? Time for a replacement? Thoughts/help?

Set it again. I have the same problem occasionally.
