My conditions: For items which don’t include shipping (usually the cheap stuff), shipping is usually $20 - $25 (to Canada or the USA) so buy a bunch of stuff to make it worthwhile. I accept most payment methods. All prices are negotiable and I'm happy to do package deals. If any of my prices don’t reflect what everyone else is asking please PM and so I can fix it. I like to keep communications quick so if I don’t hear back from you 48 hours after I send a PM/email than I reserve the right to sell the item to a different buyer. I have positive feedback on Fourthirdsphoto, FredMiranda, Pentax forums and GetDPI as Albino_BlacMan and on eBay as ctp046.

Nikon AF 50mm f1.8 non-D (50/1.8)
Price: $50 Shipped
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze, some internal dust
Aperture: A few spots of oil but it doesn’t seem to affect performance (blades are still snappy)
Focus: Seems a little bit loud. I’ve never had another copy of this lens, maybe I’m just used to more modern lenses but I’m not accepting returns based on AF being too loud. I have, however used this lens for a few months now and never had any problems (AF related or otherwise)
AF: Fast and accurate (see note under focus)
Cosmetics: Well used, the plastic body has a lot of small scratches but nothing big that would suggest it’s been dropped or anything like that.
Accessories: Front and rear caps and a UV filter
Note: Not accepting returns based on focus noise since it’s well described in the ad

Nikon AF 85mm f1.8 non-D (85/1.8)
Price: $250 Shipped
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Manual Focus: Works exactly like it should
AF: Fast and accurate
Cosmetics: Overall good shape. Not mint but no major marks that I can see (probably some small scratches if you look close enough
Accessories: Rear cap, hood (HN-23) and box

Tamron 28-105mm f2.8 (276D)
Price: $275 Shipped
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Focus/Zoom: Both the focus and zoom are smooth and consistent throughout
AF: Fast and accurate
Cosmetics: Overall good shape. Not mint but no major marks that I can see (probably some small scratches if you look close enough
Accessories: Front and rear caps, no hood

Nikon Pre-AIS 24mm f2.8
Price: $100 Shipped
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Focus: Smooth and even throughout the range
Cosmetics: This is an old lens and it shows. There are quite a few small marks on it. It’s not quite “user” but not mint either
Accessories: Front and rear caps

Nikon AIS 50mm f1.8 (Newer compact version)
Price: $100 Shipped
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Focus: Very smooth
Cosmetics: A couple good scratches on the paint. Not quite “user” but not mint either
Accessories: Rear cap and Nikon brand filter

Nikon AIS 105mm f4 (As Is)
Price: $100 Shipped
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Focus: Pretty rough. It’s stiff throughout the range with some areas being a little stiffer than other. It could probably use a re-lube to bring it back to “super fun to shoot” condition (this is why it’s being sold As Is)
Cosmetics: Quite a bit of paint loss around the built in hood. Small marks and paint loss on a lot of the exterior. It’s more fun to shoot with than to look at.
Accessories: Rear cap and Nikon brand filter

“Image” Brand Nikon AIS 28mm f2.8
Price: $20 + shipping
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Focus: Not as nice as real Nikon lenses, it’s a little loose but definitely usable.
Cosmetics: A couple good scratches on the paint. Not quite “user” but not mint either
Accessories: Rear cap (nothing on the front)

Vivitar Nikon AIS 2x Teleconverter
Price: $20 + shipping
Glass: No scratches, fungus or haze
Cosmetics: Overall good shape. Not mint but no major marks that I can see (probably some small scratches if you look close enough
Accessories: Front and rear caps

Nikon FM2
Price: $125 shipped
Shutter: No marks, all speeds sound correct, not film tested
Film Transport: Appears to work as it should
Lightseals: Not tested
Meter: Appears accurate compared to my digital cameras
Viewfinder: Surprisingly dust free based on the age
Cosmetics: A little bit of paint loss around the edges but nothing that suggests it has been abused
Accessories: Front cap

Nikon F2S
Price: $125 shipped
Shutter: No marks, all speeds sound correct, not film tested
Film Transport: Appears to work as it should
Lightseals: Not tested
Meter: Appears accurate compared to my digital cameras
Viewfinder: Minimal dust
Cosmetics: User condition. This camera was definitely used the way it was designed to be used
Accessories: Front cap

Nikon D2x
Price: $395 shipped
Shutter: All speeds are correct, 12247 actuations
AF: Fast and accurate
Meter: Accurate
Viewfinder: Minimal dust
Cosmetics: Not bad for a pro camera. If you look closely you can find signs of use. One scratch on the rear display.
Accessories: Front cap, 2 batteries, original box with charger

Nikon WT-1a and BL-2
Price: $40 shipped
Description: Untested, missing cover for the transmitter (the original owner said it still works). Comes with BL-2 (batter cover that hold the cable down)

Nikon AR-1
Price: $20 shipped
Description: User condition but does its job well (raises shutter button on the Nikon F2 and a few other cameras)

Nikon 80-200mm f2.8d (Two Ring) As Is
Price: $450
Glass: No fungus or haze but one scratch on the front element (about 4mm long)
Aperture: Snappy and oil free
Focus/Zoom: Focus is smooth and consistent throughout the range. However, the Manual/Auto (M/A) lever doesn’t lock in place like it should. Zoom gets a little bit stiffer the closer you go to 200mm.
AF: Fast and accurate
Cosmetics: Definitely user condition. It looks like it’s been professionally used.
Accessories: Front and rear caps as well as a generic filter.

The 50/1.8 is known for being a bit noisy. So, what you're describing is normal.
