Hello, I recently came into possession of a Nikon n8008, it works seamlessly except for the actual film loading and usage. When I load film into it the sprockets grab and it advances and the camera recognizes the iso, it however will keep pulling the film forward claiming it's empty without going to the first frame and therefore takes no pictures and takes the entire roll if I keep pressing the shutter. Any tips?

How do you know the film is advancing? How can you tell the sprockets are grabbing? If it's not loaded correctly, it'll try to advance/load every time you press the shutter, but the film won't be moving.

I'm having trouble picturing what's going on. Do you have a copy of the manual? I'll post a copy here, if it'll let me...

Sure I'll explain again, I load film according to what is specified in the manual, I close the back, and when I turn on the camera the film symbol comes up, When I press the shutter however it makes the advance sound while also saying its empty and continually takes more film if I press the shutter again without ever taking a picture until it unrolls the entire roll unless I prompt it to rewind it.

OK, that's pretty much what I was imagining... I'm afraid that even though I have a N8008s I bought brand new, I've never seen that behavior. I'm afraid I don't have enough insight into the mechanical magic of cameras to be of much help. Hopefully some Nikon tech-head will chime in with some help. 🤷‍♂️ Sorry 😞
