Nikon N75 body on the way. Lenses? Opinions?

Not sure if you got a 50, but the 50 1.8G is a super lens, and feels great on the N75. Same for the 50 1.8D, just slightly less super but still great!

I don't want anything that doesn't feel good on the N75. I trust your judgement on that.

Which model of 24-120 do you have? They are quite expensive aren't they?

Trust mine more the Tamron 28mm to 300mm AF Zoom or the Nikon 28mm to 200mm AF Zoom. You will be much happier if you do.

I didn't get the 50 1.8G. I got the 1.8 AF-D and probably paid too much. Of course, I think that about everything I buy I think it will be fine.

The 50 D is great too. You may find you just like walking around with that combo.

I have a Nikon 50mm f1.8 AFD as my only prime. The rest of the lenses in my Nikon kit are zooms. The nifty fifty is a sweet little lens and can be used on lots of cameras. Hard to go wrong with one. Somewhere between $85 to $100 is the market price these days. I paid $75 for one over ten years ago. No regrets.

That’s the lens that KR shows with the N75 on his site. So, he gets that right at least and does say good things about it.

I paid $70 and was happy with that. I think it’s a good match for the camera.

$50-70 is the right price to pay for that lens. You will get your money's worth no doubt, both of Nikon's 50 1.8 lenses are fantastic. Personally, I use the 1.8G on this camera, and that combination makes it the best 35mm camera I own, despite trying over a dozen highly hyped cameras over the past few years. Sometimes the simple and cheap choice is the best one.

I paid too much for the lens but timing is everything. I have four N75’s now. Two of them are on the way to me. One has the Nikkor 28mm-80mm lens and the other one comes with a Nikkor 28-80mm lens, a Nikkor 70-300mm lens, a nice camera bag and a strap. I’m not a big fan of large zooms on the N75 but $35 for everything was hard to pass up.

Obviously, I really like this camera and I’m buying them while they’re still cheap.

I like lenses with the depth of field markings, so I avoid the G lenses the best that I can.
