Hello...

Someone gave me a Nikon N6006 body that has been dropped. The battery door (cover) broke as did the bottom cover, and there's a screw missing from it. Anyone have one of these bodies that doesn't work anymore? Want to donate it to a worthy cause? I could pay for shipping and give you a few bucks for the donor.

I belong to a Community Dark Room in Akron, OH. Would make a good camera for their student lending program (they allow people to use cameras that people donate). I'd like to see if I can get this thing to work without putting much money into it.

KEH has an N6006 right now for $1.97, and Pacific Rim Camera usually has some parts bodies too. Hope that helps, 6006s are great cameras!

I still own my N6006. It works perfectly. It does everything and is a great camera. I tested the electronic shutter and the shutter speeds are perfect after thirty years. It has manual settings as well as full auto and aperture and shutter priority, auto or manual focus, built-in flash. Great camera and cheap to buy.

Here are some shots I took with its zoom lens using Tmax 400 film. There's one shot taken with Tri-X in the second link

Nice! Yeah, I seem to have become a magnate for old film cameras of late. I have spent my isolation and unemployment time cleaning up and reselling old cameras. This one is going to be a donor for the community dark room I've begun hanging out in. Thanks for sharing!
