A Nikon F5 will work with G lenses, I think the F6 will also work.......I have not seen any type of adapter to make G lenses work with older cameras.

I wish it's possible to make, but almost certain it's not possible.
I could be wrong, but neither Nikon nor third parties introduced the adapter since 90's.
I think G lens is an either/or game! If the lens could be adapted for older cameras, it could not be used for newer camera, and vice versa.
Alternative manual lenses hopefully still manufactured. Thanks Nikon.

Nikon N75 body would probably cost as much as any adapter, seeing as an adapter would somehow need to electronically set the aperture.

Hmm. Adapter? Zero thickness? Hmm.

If you want to use G lenses, do as suggested in post #5 above. Get a body that can operate their apertures.

Dan's right - you can't add an adapter without changing the flange distance.

Like the other poster said, an N75 or an N80 used would cost about what an adapter would cost. None of the film bodies will work with the newest E glass with the electronic aperture.

I don't think it's possible. Both G and AI lenses have the same mount and if you put in an adapter the lens would not focus to infinity. Now if you mount your G lens on the FE2 you can actually take pictures with it but the aperture is always at minimum and the meter always think you has the lens wide open.
