Hello. I bought a Nikon Fm2n Lemix version. What is Lemix? I cant find anything. Some people said ''Korean made'', I understand means they were manufactured by Lemix in S. Korea. But both have "Made in Japan" stamped on them, which I wouldn't think would be possible if it was made in Korea. Anyone shed some light on this? Is my machine subcontractor item or assembly? If there is no problems mounting item.

Where is Lemix written on the camera?

This is Lemix

Ok i read there. If i understood correctly, my machine parts is Japan made, but Lumix build camera in Korea. Is it true?

Your FM2 should have made in Japan stamped on it but according to the link, some level of assembly may have been done in Korea by Lemix - not Lumix. This was typical because import tax on completely assembled units can be very high but can be lessened when some local assembly is conducted,

Is my machine all part is Japan? Sorry for my bad English, i cant explain carefully. I can read careffuly, but i cant write  Please explain for me. opps sorry, i wrote Lumix.

The limited information seems to say that parts come from Japan and some assembly in Korea for distribution in Korea and possibly a few other countries where they have distribution rights.

I've seen these cameras when some friends had bought their fm2/fm2n from South korea. They are just as tough as the regulars so don't worry about reliability.
