Just the home page of the auction site comes up for me. Is it that huge one that looks like half a fish bowl? ;-)

Hmmm, I found it, this one right?

(In tried what I thought was the link here but got the home page again...)

Perhaps the image of the lens? This one?

Yes, those are very rare and very pricey. I'll sell my Pentax 67 fisheye for less if anyone can't live without it!

Useless?
Not many lenses will let you take pictures of your feet with the camera pointed straight ahead.
Not that I've ever had a reason to do that...

It's an impressive piece of glass, even if it isn't very practical.

That one, or one like it, comes to the surface every few years. I guess that is what one does with those lenses...try to sell it to the next guy for wads of cash.

Way too limited use for me. I can find other lenses to buy that I would use a great deal more.

It''s about as much use for practical everyday photography as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest .

There were times fisheyes were quite popular and you would find respective photographs in any photo magazine.

Though the models hinted at here were even special in that niche.

I really enjoy mine, and used it in an ad campaign and made money way beyond its cost (purchase used).

Folks, you can't begin to imagine how sour those grapes that I can't pick are.

I can afford the fisheye lens. In fact last month I passed up not one but two good opportunities to buy a fisheye lens, but I since I have the SWC, the WideLux and a 20mm to 35mm Nikon zoom lens I just can't see getting enough use for me. YMMV Besides I still have to convince myself that I did the right thing by buying a 500mm Hasselblad lens last month.

I have never made a bad decision in my life. It is just that some of them were sub optimal.
