Hello all!

I recently bought a 1969 Nikon F with the TN meter. I love the camera just as much as my F2. However, i cant find batteries to power the meter. They discontinued the 1.3v batteries that are normally used in them. I dont really need the meter but it would be nice to have in certain situations.

Thanks for any help!

p.s. I use the adapters in my PX-13 powered antiques. They work really good and are convenient. More expensive than the zinc-air battery option but they last longer.

Buy the $12 Nikon F battery adapter shown on eBay. It's a metal collar that takes a pair of PX76's or a CR 1/3N and allows it to fit inside the Photomic finder's battery chamber. Set your ASA to 2/3 stop over what you would normally set your ASA to. The F Photomic finders use too much current for the MR9 adapter, so I'd be more inclined to go with the adapter and just fudge the ASA. Either that, or have a shop recalibrate the meter to 1.5 volts.

If you use the adapter that doesn't have a diode/resistor, use silver oxide batteries (EPX76)- straighter discharge curve
