A spring-hook (used for repairing woodwind musical instruments) is sort of like that. This is a very common repair and a camera shop that does repairs (if there are any) could probably do it in a few minutes.

And us the tab close to the base or further down*balancing on hot shie)The ASA dial is not relevant to this. Leave it in place. Don't take the base plate off. No screwdrivers are need for this operation. You only need to reach down into the hole left by the rewind shaft, find the little silver piece that is protruding into the hole slightly, and pull up on it. This is a five minute job as long as you can feel around to get the proper leverage on the tab. The more complicated you make it, the less likely you are to succeed.
