Nikon F801s serial number

Hi. I have just purchased a Nikon F801s to add to my collection. I am keeping a record of my camera serial numbers but I can't find the serial number for this body anywhere. Can anyone help me out as to its whereabouts please? Nikon appear to have hidden it very well!

On my N70 it's on the bottom, on the front edge across from where it says Made In Japan. It's etched in very lightly though, and in teeny tiny numbers. Your camera is considerably older than my N70 (but a better camera in most ways except for it's weight and size), so if that's where they put it on yours it might be hard to see.

Same for the F801. It is to the right of Made In Japan just past the tripod socket.

Thanks for your replies. I see it now - it is very faintly engraved. I feel slightly foolish now for missing it
