I recently bought myself a Nikon F4s, and then purchased an SB-25 speedlight to go with it. So far, so good - the camera/flash work nicely together, although the camera is somewhat more complex than I am used to!
However, last night, I was trying out some low-light AF experiments and noticed that the 'AF-assist' lamp on the SB25 does not project a beam of light anywhere near the AF-point as seen through the viewfinder.
Is this normal, or do I have an alignment issue? (I suppose that the viewfinder/hotshoe/flash foot might be damaged, but it doesn't look like it to me - my only guess is that the lens in the AF-assist bit of the SB-25 is out of alignment)
Like I said, I'm new to such a complex camera - I've been using an Yashica FX-D and FX-3 until now! If this is normal, then I won't worry
