Nikon F4 LCD bleeding

A while ago i posted here that the top left lcd of my Nikon F4 exhibited minimal bleeding.

A couple of months passed since then... I checked again a couple of days ago and the bleeding is non existent. The LCD is clear again. Given how often people complain about the particular defect and how it gets worse over time, i find it quite amusing that the issue disappeared.

Has anyone else observed this at any time?

Actually I've seen the same thing with an F4. Just like the OP - faint signs of LCD bleed. Month later, gone!

Mine has been there for quite a while now...I wish it would magically disappear.

Thankfully I have had no issues with the LCD bleed. Hopefully I won't. The F4 is by far one of my favorite cameras.

Not an F4 (or any other camera), but the "workout monitor" LCD display on my 25-year old ski machine developed a bleed several years ago. Now it's mostly healed itself. So, a real phenomenon.

Concerning cameras I see LCD deterioration at date backs of various brands. Hardly ever at a body.

But I never came across such a display where the effect somehow cured itself.

the bleed on the F4 is a very common phenomenon. Mine has bleed on the viewfinder, but not the body (when you look through the viewfinder on an F4 there are two visible LCDs--one is actually on the removable finder itself and the other is on the body of the camera.) I've heard of self repair, and I've even heard internet "wisdom" that says to freeze it to get it to repair, but I never tried that, and doubt it would really do anything useful.

A F4 I purchased arrived during the winter with severe LCD bleed on the body screens. After a day in our warm house most was gone but a few spots lingered. Still easily usable.
