Nikon F3 Meter staying at 2000+

Have tried this, no effect. Currently running film through to see if everything else works and go from there.

The first shot this morning was @ 250 on the meter, the actual shutter sounded more like 1 second!
After that the next 4-5 shots were sounding and metering correct. I do wonder about the health of the FRE/inner workings...

What kind of money you paid for these F3? It seems not difficult to find one fully functioning.

It would seem they're harder to find than expected with ebay sellers. This was 500 Aud "working condition" (The average sort of price) the other was $250 and *working* - Not so

Wow it's $335 USD which is quite high and I should expect a fully working one with excellent cosmetic. Prices seem to go up quite a bit. I should hold on to mine.
