I'm selling what I'd call a user grade Nikon F2AS.

The person I bought this camera from replaced the light seals, and I have shot film through it and verified it all working properly. The meter compares favorably to my Gossen Luna SBC, and all shutter speeds fire. When I tested it about a year ago, 1/2000 tested out to 1/1500, 1/1000 was about 1/750, and 1/500 on down to 1 second were within 5% of their rated value. I can run another series of test on it if an interested buyer would like(I test with two photocells and an oscilloscope, so can generally see other issues like shutter capping and uneven curtain travel along with the actual speed).

This is a black camera, and shows a fair bit of use/wear. There is quite a bit of brass wear-through on the corners, especially the back right by the film advance. It's also dented a bit in this same area.

All of that at least to me makes this a great user camera!

Current Ebay price for a black F2AS seems to run $350-500. In recognition of the condition of this(and of course not paying Ebay fees!) I'm going to price this one at $275 plus shipping. If you like the camera but don't like the price, feel free to contact me with an offer!

I already have multiple F2 variants. This looks more ruffed up than beat up. I've been shooting F2 cameras since I purchased a new F2S in 1973, high school sophomore. With all the cameras over the years I've had one failure. The system that delivered current from the battery compartment to the meter head failed. I gave the camera body to a friend, who still uses it.
F2 is the ultimate mechanical 35mm SLR.
