Nikon F2 waist level finder

Are Nikon finders interchangeable between different models (F, F2, F3, etc) or specific to the model? I want to acquire a waist level finder for my F2 and wanted to know which models will fit.

F/F2 finder swaps work with certain provisions:

The F3 finders are, well, F3 finders.

The F and F2 have the same mechanical catch and release so that the F's plain prism fits the F2 but the Nikon (or Nikkor) nameplate on the F would have to be removed in order to use the F2's which has the Nikon nameplate on the finder instead of the body.
