I got my F100 a year ago on ebay for $250 and I thought that was a steal! This is a great deal. The F100 is an amazing camera.
I'd buy it if I didn't already have one!
No sorry. With my Canon collection as well as Mamiya and Pentax I think I have enough selection. And with the delivery charge to the Wetcoast Coast. I'll buy something I "need" that is a bit closer.
If I bought it, then I would need to go buy AF lenses, plus, no doubt, a bunch of other gimcracks to go with it.

Do you believe (seriously) that you would need to buy AF lenses? Or are you simply saying that the GAS would compel you to buy AF lenses? Truth is that an F100 will work perfectly well with all F mount lenses except pre-Ai, including metering, although manual focus lenses will only meter in centre-weighted or spot modes.
GAS is a terrible affliction isn't it. My GAS is currently forcing me in the medium format direction. I just bought a Mamiya 645 so now I will need some extra lenses. Is there an organisation called "GAS Sufferers Anonymous"?
If not, there should be.
I have an F100 and if I could only keep one camera this might be it. I use it with AF and Manual focus lenses.
I wasn't being serious. I understand that my current manual lenses would work.
I mostly work with medium format and larger now. Another 35 would sit mostly unused with the ones I already own.
Plus, my F3 would feel justifiably scorned and probably stop working. Then where would I be?

There's nothing that little piece of **** can do that I can't! Who the ** needs spot metering on a 35 anyway, are you nuts!?

I got mine last year from them for $235. I do not have GAS in 35mm any more.
I still have GAS in other areas.

In my house, my F3 won this argument.
I just agreed to purchase a F100 today for $235. But it is LN and comes with manuals, papers etc.
It is a little sad that they are going for so little but 35mm is rapidly being overshadowed by digital.
LF and MF are my main interest. This F100 willl likely be the last 35mm camera I purchase and it will only be used with its fast AF to photograph my grandchildren. At my age of 66 I decided to get it over with and obtain a AF SLR for the photographing grandchildren. I own only meterless Nikons & Leicas at present.
I am hoping that a 50/1.8 AF lens is the only auto focus lens I will need for the task of photographing 3 year olds.
Some of us need to form a GAS Anonymous group, however! I personally know several potential members including myself.

Or having "mature" eyesite requiring glasses, but not having glasses...Autofocus can really be a total help sometimes...(But I wish that my F4s would focus as quickly as the F100...).
BTW...I have the Nikkor 24-120mm (non-VR lens, made in Japan version) that I use on my F4s, and aside from the f/3.5-5.6 apeture, I love that lens.
Not quite sure this applies to all 35mm. A couple of mint F3HPs recently sold for well over $400 on ebay. I think this is a slight upward trend for this camera. I think some models, as they are getting harder and harder to find in excellent to mint condition, have appreciated in the last year or so.
Damn it! I wish I saw that! Great deal. I really want an F100.

I have F70 and it works well with my AF and MF lenses. Do I need this one? (*asking for help. Say no, please....*)
Well, their regular price is only $172 in excellent condition, so not all that much more. I say go for it!
I got mine a couple of years ago for $200 from an adorama ebay auction...sold it a little while ago. I don't remember how much I sold it for. lol
I bought my F100 new. It's a terrific camera. The only camera I like better is my F5, and there are a couple of things (like the red illuminated autofocus brackets) that I like better about the F100.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear, I just had a look at KEH. They have several in stock at some great prices. I'm tempted sorely, I am.
