Up for sale a Nikon f from 1972 or 1973 body with the motor and the battery pack.

The Camera has a problem in the shutter, just fires if you press all the way down, because if you press it just half, the mirror comes up and stays there.

The motor isn't working i think because the battery pack inside is corroded.

Best Offer.

Nothing against you personally, Alexandre, but I gotta say -- I dislike "best offer" sales. In the absence of an agreed protocol and a system for accepting bids in a transparent manner, I much prefer sales where the seller states a price. It's then up to prospective buyers to purchase or not. Who has time to be checking back all the time to see if their "best offer" is indeed the best? And what's the timeframe for a decision? Vexing.

Just my own opinion.

I'm out. Bidding getting too intense for me.

Kewl!! I win!

but to be serious, I might be interested in this. But I'm not going to start bidding, if I wanted to do that I'd go to feepay. My offer still stands though.

The nikon f is in best offer due to the condition of the camera, normally i wouldn't do this, but because this is for parts i just don't know how much to ask really Trask.

E. von Hoegh wait a second!

Alexandre, I'd say you should ask whatever amount you'd be satisfied with receiving. It may be $10, or $11, or $50 or whatever. If you ask too much, it won't sell; if you ask what the market will bear, you'll get a sale. I can appreciate that you wouldn't want to take a large loss, but as you already know what you have in the camera, you can decide for yourself what's the right price.

I've got 15 dollars and my Super Bad Party Ring

hmmm, not much of a tinkerer, but this way-back machine is verrrry tempting.

how about $35.00 + shipping to zip code 78626?

breathe, relax and enjoy.

How about 300 euros plus shipping and paypal with a 50-300mm included?

I wonder if the camera was modified to have the early style mirror lockup, where you hit the shutter release halfway and the mirror locks up.

Anyway, GLWS. Got one just like it, but in black, so I won't be making an offer.

I haven't seen one like this, i've owned 3 F's, but maybe it is a modified version, because the camera other than that works perfectly, gonna do some digging on that, thanks guys!

There are some F bodies that had modifications done by third parties to provide the mirror prefire feature. The most well-known modification was done by the Questar telescope company. Added a second button that looked like the self-timer button. You'd depress that, then rotate the mirror lockup switch to lock the mirror up.

Supposedly, early F bodies can do the same if you depress the shutter release part of the way down. Later bodies didn't have feature from what I've heard and just verified with my F. An early F is soon to be on its way to me. Will check that camera to see if it'll do it or not.

My camera hasn't any small button or the Questar label but i have researched a lot and i believe that my F has this feature made by a third party, i just don't have any way of confirming this.

Good. Get yourself an eyelevel finder and a P screen to go inside it. Load it up with some Ektar 100 or whatever film you prefer and have some fun.

The drive will probably come back to life with some cleaning of the terminals. I resurrected one that didn't work by using a long thin-bladed screwdriver to scrape the green crud off.
