Any one use either of these? I'm looking to get a dslr that will work with the nikon lenses I already own, and am wondering if the extra cost for the d70 is worth it.
Standard Nikon lenses will not function with either of these cameras, that is the cameras will not meter in stop down mode as the D200 will.
thanks. I had the impression that my AF-d lenses would work. Guess I'll have to look into it further.
Your AF-D lenses WILL work just fine. You will have zero problems. The other poster is wrong.
Here is a Link to a lens compatibility chart of lenses to Nikon bodies.
In my haste I was thinking of manual focus lenses since I don't own or use AF lenses for my Nikons. Thanks for pointing that out.
The title of the forum is 'Digital & Traditional Capture'. What is the problem with discussing digital cameras for digital capture?I thought the purpose of this forum was to discuss where digital and analog meet. NOT a digital only forum.
I broke down and bought a D80.
