That was a different lens and a different question.

I don't think there is a Nikon F50 (edit, No I was wrong, the N50/F50 was an entry level AF SLR in the mid 90s, shortly before the N60/F60. If I were looking at cameras of this genre I would get an N65/F65.) But in general, no Nikon film slr can focus an AF-P lens, and the 18-55 is a DX lens that will not illuminate a full 35mm film frame. For an inexpensive Nikon AF body, you would be best served by a regular AF lens. The 28-80 AF D or AF G are very common.

Please see https://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/compatibility-lens.htm for a comprehensive discussion of Nikon lens types and compatibility.

Hi Umut,

Cheapest good zoom lens that will fit Nikon film SLR is 28-80 Nikkor AF. You can find those on ebay for like 10-20€, often with a F55, or F60/65 body as well.
Even cheaper is 35-70 AF Nikkor lens, although not so sharp as 28-80.

If you cannot find one for this price, give me a PM, I can find one for next to nothing on ebay.de.

Whether it fits or not, it is a DX lens, which means it is designed to cover a smaller “APS-C” sized sensor. It is likely that at some zoom point and some apertures 35mm film will see severe vignetting.
