What ho one and all,

Just bought a Nikkormat FTn with a Nikkor-H 50/2 attached. It was sold as spare only and I can see why as some of the screws are missing.

But I may be able to salvage it with some creative thinking!

However, the lens needs a bit of attention and at the moment, I cannot see a obvious way inside. The rear black baffle is held by three screws, but there are no screws holding the bayonet mounting plate as in the photo.

This does seems unusual. Perhaps the lens entirely dismantles from the front?

Thanks and toodle pip

This may be of help:

Note that there were many variants of this lens, your version might be handled better in one of his other lens repair articles.

Thanks for the link; I do read quite a lot of the Richard Haw files and they are very informative.

However, this lens does not have a screw in the name-plate; there is one on the side which probably allows the front group to be removed. have nto tried yet. But unlike the lens in the link, which does have the usual bayonet mounting screws, the one I have has no screws.

Plenty of consultation with Dr Google and I have found this Richard Haw link which solves the problem.
