So now I've had the Zonemaster and Stopclock for a while. Though the default calibration for MGRC IV gave fair results, I finally got around to doing some test strips and calibrating the exposure at each full filter. My first pass got me fairly close which was just sliding opaque sheets across the paper and making each exposure. Then a made a test strip holder ( another thread ) and make a few more passes. The test strip holder makes life much easier.
After my last pass, I can still see I need a few tweaks but it is getting really close ( to my eyes any way ). The pic shows what I did in my strip holder. The one with no dots on top is the last pass. Each sheet has filters 00 to 5 in full steps. I'm likely to stop here for a while and try some actual prints. I have a few I tried with the meter when I first got it, I'll try some of those again with the new settings for a comparison.
I'll probably do one more pass then move to the contrast calibration.
Also looks like I got some static zaps.
