Good Morning All -- just found this Group and as all my film is now 'Expired' I will join !! I have film in two 'fridges and keep getting GIVEN more -- I can't use it up quickly enough!
When I was an impoverished Schoolboy in 1951 on 2 Shillings and 6 pence a week pocket money and a roll of 120 cost 2 shillings and 10 pence (fresh) I found out that if I cycled round all the Chemists' shops and asked if they had any 'Outdated Films I could buy ' they sold me lots of 120 Kodak Verichrome, Ilford Selochrome and FP3 for 6 pence a roll thus leaving me with 2 shillings with which I could go to the Cinema on a Saturday and afford a 6 pence Walls Ice-Cream wafer ---

YEp, different continent, but my first 35mm film supply was some recently outdated Ansco B&W at 25 cents a roll, and I could re-use the cassettes.
