I noticed one store here in Canada has some Portra 160NC in stock, but alas no 160VC yet. I didn't ask about the 400 speed versions. So just taking a survey- does anyone in Canada or the US have stock of these new films yet in 35mm or 120? It seems for the free film offer Kodak ran out of 160VC, but still had the other 3 versions to give out. I haven't found out if my friend in Seattle ever got the free films or not. I was told by Kodak that they are now shipping the new stuff, but wonder whos bringing it in at this time. Film sales here in BC Canada are really slow and they can't move the film they do have in stock. I emailed Freestyle to see if they have the new stuff in yet.

There's some threads over on photo.net that indicate that B&H has the new Portra in 120/220. I think it's just a matter of working through their existing stock before they sell the new stuff. It doesn't sound like they will make any announcement about it. They will just switch over when they deplete the old stock.

Anyone?? Has anyone even looked for the new stuff?

I'm still working with my "freebies". Will post some observations soon. My main recommendation is to think skin not sky.

I have a lot of other film in the freezer right now - so I won't be looking for this anytime soon unless I need some good "people pic stuff".

I bought some (400VC, 120) at Adorama the other day and it was the new stock. That was the store, I can't speak for mail order.

I recently got some 160NC at Pictureline in Salt Lake City. They have had 400VC as well, but their stock runs out faster than they can get it in.

It looks to me that Fotofun Cameras in New Westminster has received a small stock of the new 120 Portras - here is a link:

I just received a film order from B&H. 35mm, 4x5 and 8x10. All Portra 160VC. The 8x10 was the only one that came in the new portra version.

Beau Photo in Vancouver has some stock of the new films in. I asked about 160VC in 120 and they said that was the new stuff.
