Nikkor 20 / 1.8
Finnaly found the price ( my country ) .. ~1080$, it is 1000$ cheaper than 24mm/1.4. both have golden ring.
Sharper than 20/2.8 and can replace my 18-35 mm /3.5-4.5 used most at 18mm

I think I'll buy it.

P.S.
I know B&H have it at 800$ but in europe dollar sign is exchanged with euro sign with same figures.

AF & G?

Edit: Right, it is the Gelded series. So only at f22 or whatever min aperture on most of the older (pre-80s?) cameras.
Would the AF-D go down in price then? :-/

on most of the older (pre-80s?) cameras.

Pre-95. After the F5 came out, all new AF cameras can use G lens. The first one was the F-401 that was released in 87. It was a case of "get them when they are young".
Nikon has an history of introducing some features in the lower priced cameras and then gradually introducing them in the higher ones.

I have been seriously considering the 28 1.8 that is similar.
