This developer is stated to fit all kind of high-resolution, high-contrast films.

Two parts of the kit will be adjusted in their part of the working solution depending on the film.
A third part is to be used on larger film sizes as Spur has announced the well-known Agfa Copex Rapid as type 120.

so this is kinda like an ABC pyro type developer, without it being pyro(so no stain)?

being able to adjust certain parts of the developer to affect the way it affects development.

so this developer is designed more for films like acros, tmx and tmy?

Daniel,

No, it is intented for high-resolution films like the gone Technical Pan, the Copex Rapid, the Imagelink, the ATP, the Orthopan UR, etc.
Up to now proprietory developers where offered for them, including Spur.

Pheadrus,

This is a newly announced developer so it may take time to show up at dealers, if it all...
It is called `Modular Grün´
Spur itself is not great at marketing. that's why I did not post this at `Product Availability´.

I have used the predeccessors of this new Modular UR developer kit and got outstanding results with Adox CMS 20 / Spur Orthopan UR film, Rollei ATP and Agfa Copex Rapid / Spur DSX film.

The combination of these films with the dedicated Spur developers formed a league of their own concerning resolution, sharpness and fine grain.

For example some results:
Resolution at object contrasts of 1:3 to 1:4 with Zeiss ZF 2/50 (system resolution of film + lens):

Rollei ATP: 170 - 200 Lp/mm
Agfa Copex Rapid: 170 - 200 Lp/mm
Spur Orthopan UR: 230 - 260 Lp/mm

And the Spur developers are very easy to handle. Nearly no differences to standard developers.

I have made some first tests with the new Spur Modular developer. So far the results are very fine. But it is too early for a final jugdement.

Best regards,
Henning

There is no data-sheet in English...

Concerning your question, Rhodes: It depends...

The parts A and B are used for the 35mm and smaller versions of the various high-resolution materials.
As Spur experienced artefacts when processing larger formats, they offer an additional agent C for those cases.
