My name is Karen Taylor. I'm a new professional photographer with a studio which I operate out of my home: Black and White Studios. My passion lies in fine art: the poetic line between a single flower in flight and a softlit nude in partial shadow. I do portraits, but always with the first in the back (or front) of my mind. Dry-mounted fiber is my medium. I shoot a Hasselblad 500CM - which I adore - and a Nikon N90S. I upgraded my old Novatron powerpack strobes, to Photogenic Monolights with softbox, etc. What a difference using the right equipment makes. I surround myself in greatness whenever possible - taking all the classes I can do - passing on what little I know to others. I seek to polish, refine and grow. Already I have benefitted from advice read in your forums. I am grateful.
