New production of a classic. Lomography has resurrected the Jupiter 3 50mm f1.5 in L39 mount. Changes to the original include shorter minimum focus distance and a brass body. It's got 12 aperture blades for the Bokeh lovers.Priced at $649US, it won't be cheap, but Lomography hasn't exactly been targetting bargain hunters with their recent products.
I wonder if Lomography will ressurect a FSU rangefinder next. with the retirement of the Bessa line, I'd be happy to see a Zorki 4 with modern Quality Control being sold. Of course, I'm also too cheap to buy one, so I can't ask Lomo to do such a thing...

You do believe in miracles as I do.

I went to local winemaking store. The guy in charge appears to be Russian speaking. Originally he was in charge of the Zenit production line at KMZ. Now his wine is popular among russian speaking ladies here. My in law asked to buy his wine instead of LCBO...

Cheers, Ko.

PS: KMZ has stopped making Zenit and Horizon not so long time ago. Last cameras made by KMZ. Zorki is the long time history. FED was still making RF in earlier nineties.

The "Soviet Spirit"... Reading this, I will pass.

Well, this one looks like a totally healthy, sane product compared to their Petzval stuff... Good work Lomo guys!!

Has any one seen a real 'new' Russar or bought one yet?

Great idea, but... FSU factories lost money on photographic products as soon a market economy showed how much materials and labour really cost. A C21st Zorki would be great but to make a profit it would cost around the same as a used Leica in excellent condition, and which are you going to choose? A new Jupiter 3 might gain enough traction to be a success, but a good used one sells for around £140. Quite a difference to expected new prices.
