Hello, My name is Dave. I'm in Northern California, Sonora. I have been into photography for awhile now. I started in 35mm, went to Digital (Fuji S2PRO) and am about to dive into 4x5. I want to build my own camera (4X5) but until then, I'll shoot with my SpeedGraphic.
I am married and have 2 boys, 4years and 2.5 years old. They take up 99.9% of my time. I'm trying to find out what the closest large format group is to me. Anyone know?
I love to tinker with cameras and I am also going to start dabbing in Stereo photography as well.
Anyway, the site looks great, alot of people and advice I'm sure. I'll take a bit of time looking around and see all that is offered here.
If there is anyone in my area, let me know.

Hi Dave - Welcome from Sydney. Good luck with the photography at your stage of life. The period from when my 3 kids were born to them starting high school I call my "Kodak Gold 200 lost years". It seemed to be an endless stream of baptisms, birthday parties and backyard shots. I trust you have a supportive partner who will let you tinker to your hearts content. Maybe you should get the boys involved early. Christmas is coming. How about a pinhole camera kit each!!
