Hello everyone!
I must confess I stumbled across this forum by accident -- user (there was a url link here which no longer exists) shared a recent project of mine (you can see his post (there was a url link here which no longer exists)) and I found the forum because of it.

That said, it was a very happy accident because I really like what I've seen so far, so I'm probably going to stick around if that's OK

I'm a portuguese photography student that also works as a photography assistant in a very digital world. I've been using film and alternative processes for some of my personal projects, though. And I'm planning on doing it more and more because I really like the process and the end results.

I recently built a room camera with a friend and I'm thinking of building an Ultra Large Format Camera (basically a portable version of the room camera) so I might ask for your help on that subject.

So, thanks (there was a url link here which no longer exists) for finding my project and sharing it here! Really made my day.

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you guys and I'll see you all around, I guess :D

Have a nice day,
Diego

Welcome to apug. You will probably spend a lot of time here and you will find useful and interesting information here.

Hi Diego - welcome to APUG! Your project looks interesting and I'm sure you'll get a lot of help here, should you ask for it.

Thank you!
I'll open a new thread about the ULF (or maybe just LF, I'm not sure yet) project as soon as I gather my thoughts around it. And I'm probably going to need some help from more experienced users because I have a lot of doubts haha :D

Welcome to the APUG

Hello and happy APUGging!

Depending how big you want. People have used vans or trailers converted to cameras.

A Camera Van is definitely in my plans, but not for now. Right now, I want to start by building a Large Format Camera that is portable enough for me to carry.
In fact, I'll open a thread about that right now and will start working on that as soon as possible.
