When I entered the studio today, a surprise was in there...

A DURST D659 enlarger (35mm up to 6x9) with lenses, clock and so on...

Nice surprise even though I have NO idea who gave it to us....

Question: Any in here have experience with such a beast?

You might find this handy as well.

Thank you Bob - very helpful!

Is it as I suspect, a quality enlarger? about 50years old I believe..

I am happy - should I be?

Top of the line way back in the 1960's. Do the lens serial numbers and the serial number on the negative carrier on yours match the front plate. The focusing cams were tweeked so everything was perfect. The original lens plates have adjusting screws to match the lenses to the cams. You will need to play with them if you decide to use a half glass (top half) negative carrier.

I sure like mine.

sounds cool - I'll go and check it out. It looks original, but who knows...
