This is a great opportunity for a lot of NE-APUGers (whether you shoot LF or not) to get together... especially on Sunday for the two talks.
So, I am throwing out a challenge to see how many of us NE-APUGers we can fit into the VPC!!!!

Looks like another great weekend! :D

Good morning, NE-APUGers;

As PapaGene said, you have a great opportunity on the weekend of March 27-29 to meet other people with an interest in and liking for film photography that you have. If your gathering is anything like the one we had out here in the Pacific Northwest back in September, it will definitely be worth your time to attend.

And, you do not need to drive as far as we did.

BUMP... just want to keep this fresh. I do hope that many of the NE-APUGers will be able to make the lectures at the VPC on March 29th.

The ol' Tech is still standing and may be the future home of a state database storage or something like that. I think it would make a great photo-studio(s) complex. But alas, I ain't got enough $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :sad:

Just wanna BUMP this thread one more time to keep it fresh in the minds of all you New England APUGers... especially for the Sunday program. I am hoping to see a bunch of you at the lectures. Plus the NELFPC group will have plenty of examples of their work up on the walls of the VPC.
See ya Sunday! :D

As for the rest of the weekend, it was a great time meeting old and new friends, seeing some wonderful photographs, watching that amazing Mr Carnie demo his considerable skills.
I want to thank Steve Sherman for putting this weekend program together and also a great big thanks to his wife for putting up with us.

Greetings all,

I had a chance to apply Mr. Carnie's Split Grade Printing technique in the darkroom yesterday. In some cases the results were subtle, although with the right image it was truly dramatic. I can't thank NELFPC enough for putting on the demonstration & Bob Carnie for offering his expertise in the Darkroom. This past weekend is another great example of the direction of this group.

Many Thanks, Dan Groth

Now I can enlarge again, after watching Bob Carnie in action. I should be able to double my body of work in a few weeks just out of the backlog of smaller negatives alone. Tedious though the travelling was, what I took away was of immeasurable value.

Thanks again Steve and Vicky for all you do.

Its indeed a weekend very well spend. Thanks Steve for hosting this wonderful event. I learned a lot from Bob Carnie and also he showed me how to become a better printer by following rules and good working habbits, of course a big darkroom like Steve's helps. :smile: I ordered some lith printing stuff, can't wait to get it started. :smile:

Also I got to know a lot of new friends and of course re-acquainted with some old friends too.

The print sharing was inspiring with the help of Paul's fine bourbon mix and some single malt whiskey. The food was great, the chat was great, I'm so happy to spend such a wonderful weekend with a collective group of photographers.
