I saw this on Photo.net, thought some APUGers might be interested:

Andrew Held , apr 14, 2006; 02:45 p.m.
A new large format group focused on analog photography is starting in Boston. It is welcome to anyone with a view camera interested in traditional or alternative analog photography. The group will hold free workshops, lectures, demonstrations and shoots in the Massachusetts Bay area. If you are interested in joining and contributing to the group email Balfap@yahoo.com. We already have some interesting potential speakers and workshops lined up.

Although I am from NJ, I would be interested in getting involved. I will look into it.

Just wanted to point out that Andrew Held was present at our LF portraiture workshop back in March. He originally founded the Western New England LF group about five years ago -- I still remember with fondness our original meeting at Turner's Falls, where I finally actually saw other people with LF cameras!

Drew B. said:
which guy was he....I can't picture him there? Was he in any of Gene's photos?

OK, I think he's the big guy in pale baseball cap and blue jacket with hands in his pockets
(to Manjo's right) in this photo:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

The funny thing, he didn't remember me, but he was excited to see a Walker Titan F and told me that there had been one at the original meeting of the WNELF group at Turner's Falls; I then told him it was in fact the SAME camera, confirmed it was Andrew Held I was talking to....
