This means that even though they will re release some of the old film lineup, will they be remaking the chemicals the old Agfa used to make?

The chemical line was sold to A+O, and many
(not all) of the old Agfa chemical products
continue to be made and sold. Rodinal, anyone?

That chemical plant has meanwhile got another owner; a&o have ended their trip into the analogue world.
But for the rest Saunders is right.

Due to legal issues with ownership of trade/brand names products like Rodinal are also being sold under other names. The "Rodinal" name is register to John from the defunct J&C company solegally can't be used in the US.

As AGX says A&O no longer sell or distribute Agfa chemistry direct, however they still manufacture many of the products to bulk order for other companies to sell/distribute.
