This data is needed..........

How many rolls and sheets do you people normally process at a time?
OR
How many per month do your shoot?

I know that film shooters are a smallish group so I feel obliged to also declare my HIGH interest in such a product if it becomes available. Even C-41 in 35mm size is becoming a problem for me as far as local development. If I had a solution I could trust at home a whole world of new possibilities would open to me.

I will be following this thread.

I'd be shooting more if I found an economical way. Currently one or two rolls a month  With such a processing unit and scanner, I'd be going over to film medium format, too. For $300, I'd buy one, but postage? I hope it is considerably smaller than my bathroom, though. As for software, linux (Ubuntu) would be a bonus, but even if it's only in Windows I can manage (I still run XP). Hopefully you can find enough buyers.

Did this ever go any place? I would shoot a whole lot more C-41 and E-6 if I could process it at home. I shoot a lot of B&W because I can process it at home, and I have a place close by for C-41 so I shoot about 2 rolls a week, but if I could process E-6 film at home I would shoot a lot more slides.

Hi mrred

glad to see you're back on the forum. Is there any chance you still have that negative strip I sent you for that Pacific Scanner comparison?

if you have lost it, please just let me know.

I would buy one, assuming it worked.

Hi

Hi all, i am upto something interesting these days. My entrepreneurial spirit doesnt keep quite. I was thinking of building a film processor which does BW, C-41 and E-6 one or two rolls(even sheets) at a time(or more). Would be great for people who do

sounds excellent ... I would also be on the list of buyers. Sounds great. I would not hesitate to pick up such a thing for even $500.

Please keep us posted

Prashanthb, how about programming in Java? You won't need to worry about ports and stuff, no?

Regards,
Loris.

Another Mac user who would be very interested ;-) Sounds like a great product.

Curosity about this project.

I have just stumbled upon this thread. after searching for a used jobo atl for my personal use i have no intention of spending more than $200 on a jobo that will most likely breakdown and become a paper weight. however if the OP is still pursueing this venture in producing these processing machines i would be very interested in purchasing one (Especially if the software was mac compatible) I would settle for a windows laptop for the purpose of running a processor and that would be the only use. so if there is any new information on this product i would love to know about it. and if not does anyone know a link to the chinese small jobo systems Bob Carnie had mentioned earlier in this thread. and yes i know this is a 1yr old thread i am just taking a shot in the dark. all i want is reliable at home film processing. also would a processor like this develop film from a super 8 mm film camera and 16mm film from motion cameras?

Hi everyone. I'd just like to express my interest in this project, even though it seems to be totally inactive. $300 for a product that can develop E-6 sheet film would be fantastic, especially without the evidently poor reliability of the Jobos nowadays. I keep hearing about expensive repairs that are needed. Any chance of being able to develop some RA-4 prints?

And of course, Mac support would be highly desirable!

I am very much interested for the $300. Can you give us a hint of what your proccessor would be like. I am more interested in the mechanic and plumbing of the processor. The control system is of no important to me.
